"In recent years, many articles have been written indicating that individuals who nurture a spiritual life tend to have a healthier - and sometimes, lengthier- existence. Making a retreat is certainly at the top of the nurturing list. A retreat is a safe place wherein I absorb the reality that I am one with God who knows me, accepts me and cherishes me- as I am. In this sanctuary, I find the courage needed to return to the action of my life- confident that I walk tall and secure with my God. When the soul is heavy, accepting God's eternal invitation to "come aside and rest awhile" certainly helps lighten the burden. Immersing and abandoning self in God's loving heart can truly restore hope and re-ignite the fires of Love." Tea with Marie airs on Channel 13 statewide in RI from 3 to 3:30 PM (tea time) on Friday afternoons.
