When I left Hawaii back in November 2011, my friend Ellen gave me a card that read “keep the vision of coming back.” I knew in my heart that I would be back, but I didn’t know how or when. I didn’t expect that I would be returning for a month in September of this year.
I’ve shared in my blogs that it was my dream to go to Hawaii for many years. My dream came true after I gave a presentation at a local church in RI. After the service, this lady by the name of Ellen approached me and told me how she was stepping out in faith and moving back to Hawaii. I told her about my dream to someday visit Hawaii. To my astonishment and delight, she invited me to stay with her- for as long as I wanted! Who could refuse an offer like that? I took her up on her offer and spent 2 weeks in Hawaii for Thanksgiving. Before I went, my prayer was to be open to receive more of God’s love.
Hawaii changed my life in many ways and I came back a different woman. As many have written, Hawaii is a magical, mystical place. I experienced God’s love in a deep profound way. It was like I drifted through the day feeling the peace and presence of God. I didn’t want to come home.
It took me awhile to come back to reality, if you will. Something inside had shifted. The “doer” in me was giving way to a new place of “being” and my capacity to receive was opening more and more. I didn’t feel the need to push and make things happen as I did most of my life. It was somewhat uncomfortable at first, but I liked the peace I experienced when I allowed myself to receive the good that I was attracting into my life.
I feel so blessed that I have been invited back to “house sit” when my friend Ellen goes out of the country. What I am learning is that when you believe and expect the best, you will receive the good that is rightfully yours as a child of God. Everything you do and experience in life is due to your conscious and subconscious thinking. Think good and good follows. Have faith in your dreams. Never give up, the miracle may be right around the corner. I kept the vison of returning to Hawaii and am counting the days until I set foot on the beautiful shores of Hawaii. I am wondering what God has in store for me this time.
What is your dream? Are you expecting the best to come? As Ellen said to me, “keep the vision of coming back.”
Happy Holidays and may you always know Gods unconditional love in your heart. It is God’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom and it is your good pleasure to RECEIVE it. I arrived home last night from my two week vacation to Hawaii. It was truly a gift from God with magic and many miracles. Prior to going to Hawaii, I had prepared my heart and soul daily to receive more of God’s love and abundance. I know many people (including myself) who have a hard time receiving because they don’t feel deserving or worthy. This is not the truth. As children of God, it is our divine right to receive abundance, wealth, health, joy, and love.
“I am living my dream” was a recurring theme and affirmation I said to myself while vacationing. Going to Hawaii started with a thought, then a deep desire and then pictures in my intention book that I prayed with for over two years. On one page of my intention book was a picture of a turtle swimming in the ocean in Maui, Hawaii (where I stayed.) Directly across from it was a picture of a man and woman snorkeling in the ocean.
It was next to the last day before my vacation ended and I still hadn’t swum with the turtles and snorkeled yet. I knew it was dangerous to go in the ocean alone and I didn’t have anyone to go with me. Each day as I looked out into the ocean, I kept saying to myself and my friend Ellen (with whom I stayed with and was 84 years old) “I will snorkel and swim with the turtles before I leave, I will do it.” I knew it in my heart, I believed it, but I didn’t know how it would happen.
I took my usual walk after dinner on the night before returning home. I stopped to chat with a couple I had met the week before that I promised to bring my book to. In our conversation, I casually said, “I really want to snorkel and swim with the turtles before I leave tomorrow, but have no one to go with me.” To my surprise, the man said, “Oh, my son Rich has been snorkeling every day since he’s been here. I am sure he would accompany you and I have all the equipment for you to use.”
The next morning, the day I left the beautiful island of Hawaii, my dream came true. Rich and I snorkeled and swam with the turtles for one hour. Words cannot express the excitement, exhilaration, gratefulness, and joy I felt! It was truly an amazing, miraculous moment that I will always treasure and never forget. Turtles are my symbol and I have them all over my house.
Never give up on your dreams, keep believing and trusting. You don’t need to know HOW it will happen. All you need to do is to “Show Up” and believe. Your dreams will come true. And, it always helps to ASK.
It’s been my dream to vacation in Hawaii for several years. Two years ago, I placed a beautiful picture of a sea turtle swimming in Maui, Hawaii in my intention book. I pray with it daily and visualize my dreams manifesting.
My trip to visit my brother in New Jersey last month was delightful and relaxing, until I arrived at the airport for my return flight. “Why can’t I check in at the kiosk?”, I wondered. When I finally reached the desk, she politely said “Miss, you are a day early; your flight is tomorrow morning.” “Well, can I get a flight out today and what will it cost?” I asked. I gulped when she informed me it would cost $170. That was more than what I paid for the whole flight. She could see my dilemma and informed me that she heard Southwest had cheaper flights. So off I went to Southwest. Yes, I could get a fight out that day and it was $30 cheaper.
I kept thanking God, trusting that all would turn out for the good. I didn’t beat up on myself, which would have been so easy to do. While walking through the airport, a very nice young man caught my attention. He invited me to sign up for a Southwest credit card. I normally wouldn’t be bothered, but the deal was a free flight anywhere in the US. As I completed the application and walked away, I said to myself “this is for my flight to Hawaii.”
I was invited to speak at a local church on faith a few weeks later. Ellen approached me after the talk with a big smile on her face. She said “I loved your talk and I am also stepping out in faith.” “Oh, what are you doing?” I asked. “I am going back to live in Hawaii.” My eyes lit up and I said, “it’s been my dream to vacation in Hawaii someday.” She smiled and said, “You can stay with me.” I could hardly speak. She then whipped out a postcard from her pocketbook of the condo she owned – overlooking the ocean in Maui, Hawaii! Not only did she invite me to stay with her, but she said I could stay as long as I wanted- and could use her car! I have a beautiful place to stay, a new friend and a free round trip ticket to Hawaii. Whooo….it doesn’t get better than that.
I will be vacationing in Maui, Hawaii for Thanksgiving. More than a vacation, it will be a time for me to retreat with my God and enjoy the beauty around me. I am so grateful for God’s love and the many blessings God has bestowed on me. God is faithful when we believe, ask and trust in the perfect and divine timing for our dreams to manifest. I believe that everything happens for a reason for my highest good and the good of others. Dreams do come true when we believe.
